Murano Glass originates from the island of Murano which is located off the coast of Venice in Italy. Originally a Venetian tradition, the renowned glassmakers of Venice moved to the neighbouring island of Murano in 1291.
Since then, the Murano glassmakers have refined technologies such as crystalline glass, enamelled glass (smalto), glass with threads of gold (aventurine) and multicoloured glass (millefiori). Today Murana glassmakers continue the tradition producing the most beautiful beads and glasswork in the world.
In this category you will find a beautiful collection of Murano beads in enchanting colours and shapes.
